Partner Insight: Are pension schemes fearful of change?

Do DC members have their heads buried in the sand when it comes to engaging with their pensions?

According to a new research report from Smart Pension over half of DC member respondents* check their pensions once a year or less, with 52% not knowing if they are saving enough for a comfortable retirement.

Worse still,  the report titled 'The Great Pensions Engagement Dilemma', shows those who check their pensions less than once a year or never are far more likely to say they are not saving enough for retirement, creating the risk of a negative spiral.

To learn more about the disconnect between DC members and their pension plans and what can be done to reverse this trend, read Smart Pension's research report produced in partnership with Professional Pensions.

*669 nationally representative sample of UK adults, and specifically targeted the views of those who are enrolled in a DC or hybrid pension scheme.
