Professional Pensions is delighted to be celebrating three decades at the heart of the UK pensions industry as the go-to brand for trustees and pension professionals.
Launched in September 1995, Professional Pensions has kept its readers informed over 30 eventful years, which have seen the decline of defined benefit provision and growth of defined contribution as well as auto-enrolment, a deluge of new laws and regulations and the 2007-8 financial crisis, the Covid-19 lock-downs and the LDI crisis of 2022.
The brand has evolved during 30 tumultuous years for the publishing industry, with the Professional Pensions team shifting from print to digital and embracing the emergence of social media.
Meanwhile, Professional Pensions events and awards have brought the industry together for 30 years at our flagship programmes including Professional Pensions Live, the UK Pensions Awards, Women in Pensions Awards and our Trustee Senate series.
We have an exciting programme of content and events planned for this celebratory year and will also be using our social media channels to invite readers to participate in the celebrations and share their memories throughout the year.
To kick-start our celebrations, we're pleased to release our special anniversary logo, which you will see displayed on our website and throughout Professional Pensions' branding over the next 12 months.

Commenting on Professional Pensions' 30th Anniversary, PP editor Jonathan Stapleton said: "We are delighted to celebrate 30 years of Professional Pensions. I would like to pay tribute to all the amazing people who have worked on the title over the years, our commercial supporters, contributors and of course our loyal readers. This is very much a people business and it is the people who have kept PP at the heart of the industry during a time of huge change."
