There are two weeks left to submit your thoughts and ideas on the future of pensions to the PP Pensions Commission.

Professional Pensions launched the PP Pensions Commission at the end of May in a bid to bring together industry opinions and ideas on the future of pensions ahead of the general election, which took place yesterday (4 July).

The commission has a number of aims.

First, it will bring together, in one place, ideas for the future of pensions that have been put forward by the industry and by the individuals within it. These will include those from membership, trade and professional bodies, think tanks, industry firms, trustees and other individuals.

We have also solicited views from the industry through our Pensions Buzz survey and through an editorial campaign to get people and organisations from across the industry to express their views on the future of pensions – and whether they think there are any policies the new government can implement in a bid to improve pensions policy.

In addition to this, we also assembled a panel of experts to provide their input in a special panel session ahead of the election.

We will now collate all the thoughts and opinions we have received into a single report for submission to the new Labour government's pensions minister and to its pensions review.

There is, however, still time to have your say. The deadline for you to send us your thoughts and ideas is Friday 19 July. Please email your submissions – be they short or long – to [email protected]
