New pension cuts ballot to open at unis next month

The University and College Union has confirmed a start date of 6 September

A further round of strike ballots at UK universities including one which will centre on pension disputes is set to begin on 6 September, the University and College Union (UCU) has confirmed.

The aggregated ballots will run until 21 October and require an overall turnout of 50% or above and a majority ‘yes' vote to see all universities involved hit by strike action. In the pensions b...
