USS strikes endure; attempts to withhold 100% staff pay

University and College Union has labelled pay withholding as ‘brutal’

The University and College Union (UCU) has today (3 March) warned university vice chancellors that strike action over staff pay and pension provisions in the higher education (HE) sector will continue if they withhold the salaries of those taking part.

It comes after a strike ballot opened at Queen Mary, University of London (QMUL) this week over management's decision to withhold 100%  pay for staff undertaking action short of a strike (ASOS). ...
