New low in transfer activity amid rise in scam warnings

Defined benefit (DB) pension transfer values fell by a further 6% in January 2022, according to XPS Pensions Group’s transfer activity index, with a lack of accessible advice identified as a leading cause.

The fall represents another record low since XPS started tracking activity in 2018, with an annualised rate of 47 members out of every 10,000 having transferred their pensions across the month. ...
