Professional Pensions has been named as the Institutional Investment Publication of the Year at the 16th annual Willis Towers Watson Media Awards.

The awards - which were announced at a virtual ceremony yesterday afternoon - celebrate excellence in business journalism across pensions, investments, insurance and human resources and were judged by a range of industry experts.

PP news editor Hope William-Smith was also recognised for an award - winning a highly commended accolade in the DB Pensions Journalist of the Year category.

Willis Towers Watson head of Great Britain Nicolas Aubert said: "Our judging panels were highly impressed with the outstanding quality of this year's media awards submissions. The overriding theme this year was, of course, the global pandemic and its impact on all industries, so clear insights and originality were premium qualities that were rewarded by the judges."
