PP Investment Awards - Shortlists published

Here they are. The shortlists for the Professional Pensions Investment Awards (PPIA) 2015.

The Professional Pensions Investment Awards celebrate excellence among the asset managers who serve UK occupational pension schemes.

PPIA has been launched to recognise asset managers over a broad range of specialisms - and shine the spotlight on those whose achievements may not always be recognised by the more general UK Pensions Awards.

The awards process is unique within the industry - with the shortlist being drawn up in association with Aon Hewitt, one of the leading investment consultants in the market, highlighting those asset managers who have demonstrated both excellent performance and growth in assets under management over the 12 months to 30 June 2015 as well as strong performance over the past three years.

Shortlisted entrants will now be asked to complete a questionnaire detailing how they differentiate themselves from their peers - detailing the product and client service innovations they have made over the 12 months to 30 June 2015.

To find out more about the questionnaire or for queries about the awards process, please contact Professional Pensions editor-in-chief Jonathan Stapleton at: [email protected].

The winners in each category will be decided by a distinguished panel of industry judges. The judges for this year's awards are:

  • Antony Barker, director of pensions at Santander
  • Lennox Hartman, manager researcher, Aon Hewitt
  • Mark Hedges, chief investment officer at the Nationwide Pension Fund
  • Roger Mattingly, director and independent trustee at PAN Group
  • Antony Miller, chief executive at 2020 Trustees
  • Bill Newman, chairman of trustees at Airbus Group Pension Scheme
  • Andrew Reid, managing director at Deutsche Bank and trustee director at the Abbey Life Staff Pension Scheme
  • John Steel, former chief operating officer at Aerion Fund Management, the in-house investment arm of the National Grid UK Pension Scheme
  • Martin Taylor, chairman of trustees at SITA DB Pension Scheme

The awards will be presented at a lunchtime reception on the afternoon of Friday 27 November at Jumeirah Carlton Tower, London.
