Pension savers decline by half a million since 2010, DWP reveals

The number of people saving into an occupational scheme has fallen by around 500,000 since 2010, according to figures from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

The decline in savers was similar for both men and women at around 300,000 between 2010 and 2012, with those aged 35 to 44 accounting for around half of the total decrease in membership. Althoug...
