MNOPF agrees £680m buy-in with Rothesay Life

The Merchant Navy Officers Pension Fund has secured a £680m buy-in with Rothesay Life.

The insurance policy covers approximately 40,000 members of the scheme's old section, which closed to future accrual in 1978. All members of this section are now covered by bulk annuity policies...
