UK scheme equity allocations plummet to new lows

Equity allocations by UK schemes have dropped from 47% to 43%, with a further four in ten schemes intending to reduce their deomstic exposure more next year, Mercer research suggests.

The firm's annual asset allocation survey, which surveys 1,200 European pension funds, found allocations by UK defined benefit plans had fallen 8.5% from 47% in 2011 to 43% this year. The survey...
