The first judges for the UK Pensions Awards 2011 have been confirmed.

They are: Pension Corporation partner David Collinson; Society of Pension Consultants president Kevin LeGrand; Pensions Management Institute chief executive Vince Linnane; Barnett Waddingham consultant Malcolm McLean; Rowles Associates director Robin Rowles; Association of Consulting Actuaries chairman and Punter Southall principal Stuart Southall; Association of Pension Lawyers chairman and Sackers partner Pauline Sibbit; Nabarro partner Anne-Marie Winton; and Wragge & Co public sector pensions strategist Mike Woodall.

The judging panel will be chaired by PP editor Jonathan Stapleton.

The remaining judges will be announced next week.

The 14th annual UK Pensions Awards - the single largest gathering of the corporate pensions industry in the UK - will take place at London's Grosvenor House Hotel on Thursday, 5 May, 2011.

This year there will be three stages in the awards process - the deadlines of which are as follows:

1. Registration/Nomination: Firms could either put themselves forward for an award or be nominated for an award by a scheme. This stage of the process closed on 19 November.

2. Entry form submission: Firms that register or are nominated have to submit an entry form (which can be found at: www.ukpensionsawards.com). The judges will use this form to draw up the shortlist. This stage of the process closed on Friday, 24 December.

3. Final submissions: The shortlists will be published in Professional Pensions on 10 February 2011. All shortlisted companies will be required to submit a full submission outlining why they merit the award in question. The judges will measure the final submission against set criteria, but will also take into account the entry form previously submitted. The deadline for the final submissions is Wednesday, 9 March 2011.

The entry forms and submissions will be considered by a panel of judges made up from professionals from across the occupational pensions industry. These judges will be announced in Professional Pensions over the coming weeks.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony at London's Grosvenor House Hotel on Thursday, 5 May 2011.

Sponsorship and Table Bookings

The UK Pensions Awards are the single largest gathering of the corporate pensions industry in the UK.

Last year's gala dinner - which was hosted by top TV comedian Jason Manford - was attended by more than 1200 guests, a veritable ‘who's who' of the occupational pensions industry.

The awards night will open with a champagne reception and include a dinner in the Grosvenor's magnificent Great Room.

The awards night will also be featured in a special Professional Pensions supplement, which will include full photo coverage and details of the winners and the nominees.

Last year's UK Pensions Awards were sponsored by a host of leading companies, which, through their involvement with the event, achieved considerable exposure to the distinguished audience and the Professional Pensions' readership.

Tables (to seat 10) are £4,790 plus VAT.

For more information about sponsorship opportunities or table bookings, contact John Waterson on 020 7004 7558 or by e-mail at [email protected]
