Super funds up 10.6% in third quarter

AUSTRALIA - Total estimated assets held by superannuation funds grew by A$114.5bn (US$104.7bn) to a total of A$1.2trn, an increase of 10.6%, data by the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) revealed.

The September 2009 Quarterly Superannuation Performance report also showed industry funds' assets grew by 9.9% to A$209.9bn, corporate funds' assets grew by 9.5% to A$60.1bn and public sector funds...
