One-third of schemes looking to allocate to emerging markets

About one-third of UK schemes are looking to allocate to emerging markets in response to volatility in global markets, Barings Asset Management says.

The fund management firm's poll of 21 of the top 100 UK pension schemes revealed 29% of schemes were now more likely to allocate to emerging markets, compared with 0% last year and 4.3% in 2007. ...
