Maine's state retirement system has lost an estimated $500m as a result of the downturn on Wall Street and is now considering a review of its entire asset allocation structure.
According to Gary Emery, the fund’s investment accounting co-ordinator, the stockmarket's dismal display has seen the size of the fund shrink from $7.2bn down to $6.7bn since the start of the year....
