China grants more QFIIs licenses

CHINA - Citigroup Global Transaction Services has announced that its clients, Nomura Securities and UBS, have become the first foreign investors to be granted Qualified Foreign Institutional Investors (QFII) status by the China Securities Regulatory Commission.

Citigroup assisted both UBS and Nomura in their QFII applications. UBS’s approved investment quota is US$300m. Nomura’s is US$50m.
