AUSTRIA - A controversial proposal for the harmonisation of pensions between civil servants and the rest of the workforce passed through the Austrian parliament late yesterday in an extremely close vote.
Of the 181 votes cast, 95 members of parliament voted in favour of the proposal – which has been strongly opposed by the Austrian trade union for civil servants, the GOD – and 86 voted against. ...
