Caisse des Dépôts director dies

FRANCE - Director general of the French civil servants' fund Caisse des Dépôts and Fonds de Réserve Pour les Retraites executive board chairman Francis Mayer, died on Saturday morning at age 56.

Mayer was also chairman and CEO of the state-owned bank CDC – which manages the Caisse des Dépôts. He had served as director general since December 2002. The fund said it was with “deep sadness”...
