Taxpayers fund £150m pension pots of top Whitehall mandarins

Top civil servants have pension pots worth almost £150m funded entirely by taxpayers, the Liberal Democrats claim.

The figures obtained by the party show the average pension pot among the top 10 civil servants from 19 government departments is more than £800,000 which could provide a retirement income of £60,00...
