Aviva Q1 annuity sales down 16%

Aviva saw its new life and pensions business in the UK fall in the first quarter as a 16% fall in annuities sales offset a rise in new pensions business.

Annuities sales dropped from £785m in the first quarter of last year to £662m with sales of individual annuities steady at £641m but bulk purchase annuity business dropping from £140m to £21m. U...
