Lucida sister firm launches in Bermuda to reinsure buyout business
Lucida Re – the Bermudan-based sister company of Lucida plc – has appointed Gary Crofts as managing director.
The buyout firm has been established to reinsure some of the business written by Lucida in the UK as well as writing business on a standalone basis.
Crofts was formerly chief executive of MetLife Assurance.
Commenting on his appointment, Crofts said: "With the market for longevity risk solutions both in the UK and elsewhere going from strength to strength, Lucida Re has great potential and I look forward to working with Lucida to realise this."
